The Best Things in Entertainment of 2009

Since everyone knows I'm kind of a TV/movie buff (working 4 years at Blockbuster will do that to you), I decided to do a little homage to all of my favorite things in entertainment of 2009. Enjoy!

1. GLEE. Let me tell you about the greatest TV show to hit the small screen in 2009. The show premiered its first episode during May of 2009 just to give viewers a little teaser of what to come. I have to admit, I didn't watch the pilot episode in May, I only watched it in September after my roommate Chantelle got me hooked on the show after its second episode. Great cast, great music, great plot line, great humor. So many people I know watch Glee, and me and my sorority sisters even have Glee parties where we all sit down and watch together. We sing along too...we are proud Gleeks!

2. LOST. I know, a lot of people don't know what the hell is going on and are confused by the whole time travel thing, but aside from that, if you understand what's going on (most people who have seen all the seasons can tell you that you can't start in the middle of the series to achieve this) the show is amazing. The effects, the acting, the dialogue, not to mention the insane amount of historical, political, philosophical, literary, musical, and cinematic references that make the show as in-depth as it is. Although you may have to mute the TV during the commercials to explain to each other what is going on, Lost still gives the same great entertainment and intellectual thought that it did when the series first began.

3. TAYLOR SWIFT'S FEARLESS TOUR. In July, I was lucky enough to go to a Taylor Swift concert with some of my sorority sisters. Let me tell you that when I say, one of the best concerts EVER, I mean one of the best concerts EVER! Not only is she talented musically and vocally, but she is also so humble and genuinely grateful for all of the success that she has had. If I could hang out with one celebrity it would definitely be Taylor Swift. Oh, and her encore with a "Should've Said No"/"What Goes Around" mash-up, probably one of the most awesome things ever.

There are so many more, but I've been trying to post this for like three days, so I'm just gonna go with what I have. =)
